Sunhat 1 & Sunhat 2: Commission

This matching pair of commissioned hand-drawn originals in soft pastel beautifully captures a sisters’ moment of childhood in the sunshine.

For these portraits, one element of focus was keeping the sense of scale accurate. One sister is noticeably taller than the other and I wanted to convey this in the final cropped images. Capturing the detail of their teeth always presents a challenge. I'm particularly happy with the expression of Sunhat 1, which captures a wonderfully genuine look of joy.

Pastel art can be delicate, so to ensure commissions you receive are completely protected, they all come professionally framed. Artwork is ready to hang and includes anti-reflective glass. A certificate of authenticity signed by me is also included.
