Bird Watching & Treat Watching: Commission

I created 'Bird Watching' and 'Treat Watching' as commissioned hand-drawn originals in soft pastel. This pair of cocker spaniels were an absolute delight to work on. I’ve always had a bias towards the breed, and their wonderfully expressive natures make them the perfect subject.

The main challenge for these pieces was to really nail 'that look' in their eyes – that intense, focused gaze that every dog owner knows. Whether they’re spotting a distant bird or waiting patiently for a treat. I put a lot of energy into getting those soulful expressions just right. I'm also particularly happy with how their curly ears turned out, which adds such character and texture.

Pastel art can be delicate, so to ensure commissions you receive are completely protected, they all come professionally framed. Artwork is ready to hang and includes anti-reflective glass. A certificate of authenticity signed by me is also included.
